Barnard's study of both the life and writings of Edward Bach as well as the plants themselves lead to a much deeper understanding of the Bach Flower Remedies. I loved the idea of Asphodel and the intermixing astrology and prophecy that ruled over the city.The main issue I had with the book was the main character, Astrea. Side note: I don’t know if it’s just me but there have been loads of red-headed protagonists in the ya books I’ve read lately. I will evevtually read the rest. 3.5 stars.Alright, let's see if I can write a good review without gettin super annoyed at Astrea aka our main Character.FIrst off I want to say if you like Greek Mythology in any way shape or form, run don't walk to this book because it is DEFINITELY for you. For instance, Bach initially wrote that pain was an indication for Impatiens, and only gradually came to realize the impatient nature of the person who needed the remedy. SHe strings a long both guys for practically the majority of the story. I read it no time because it was so hard to put down.
